Otto Maciąg Centenary Celebration Art Exhibition

Otto Maciąg was Art Master at Monmouth School from 1947 to 1978. An Art Exhibition was held at the Shire Hall Monmouth in recognition of his work, his lasting influence on his students and his legacy to art at Monmouth.

Huge thanks to all those involved with this Exhibition, in particular David Evans OM and Matt Peake MiC Art for embracing and championing this project from initiation 18 months ago with Anna Maciąg, Otto’s daughter.

The OM Club wishes to thank Simon Dorman and Rachel Rees for their support with Sixth Form volunteers Angus McIntyre, Wilfred Wright, Katherine Finch, Alice Li, Victoria Baker, Amy Chowns, and volunteers Mike Orton, Colin Jones, Simon Dorman, Sher McCabe-Finlayson, David Evans, Sue Evans, Sharon Finch and Anna Maciąg.

The Exhibition only works with the positive contributions and engagement from the OM community – your contributions resulted in approximately 380 footfall viewing the eclectic mix of OMs from fine art, stain glass designer, architects, furniture restoration, historical art experts…
